The glorious Islamic revolution of Iran was formed on the basis of the "pure Islam of Muhammad peace be upon him and his family", and then the holy system of the Islamic Republic was formed based on the brilliant theory of the guardianship of the Islamic Jurist [velayat-e faqih] which was extracted from this thought. It is obvious that the foundation of "Islamic Government", "Islamic society", and finally "modern Islamic civilization" must also be based on the same "ideas", "theories", and "patterns" that are derived from this divine thought and school.
Therefore, aside from the common courses in management discipline approved by the Ministry of Science, the Faculty of Islamic Teachings and Management offers a considerable amount of courses in Islamic Teachings:
Courses in Islamic Thoughts: which are offered in 8 credits during the first two years of study, are considered as an intensive package of Islamology which is offered to students in order to take advantage of the depth of religious teachings and to benefit from a coherent intellectual system, focused on the precious works of Martyr Professor Morteza Motahari. Aside from attending the class, students should study about 100 pages of this professor's work every week and then deepen their understanding, discuss their doubts, and solve their problems in discussion circles.
Tadabor [think deeply] in Quran and Quran Tafsir [interpretation]: Familiarity with the Holy Quran as the miracle of the Holy Prophet peace be upon him and his family, and the main source of the formation of the thoughts and values of a Muslim, is one of the most important courses emphasized by the Faculty of Islamic Teachings and Management. This course is taught with the focus on Tafsir Al-Mizan. This course is worth 10 credits and is included in the curriculum of all juniors and seniors.
Islamic Jurisprudence and Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence: Religious mujtahids have been inferring religious issues from the sources of Shari'a (Quran and hadiths of the Infallibles (a.s.)) since the occultation of the Last Twelver Imam (a.s.) and this process will continue until the Last Twelver Imam becomes apparent. Based on the point stated, the academics of this university have always insisted on the importance of familiarity with Islamic jurisprudence and principles of Islamic jurisprudence in order to learn how to infer religious rulings and how to perceive religious sources correctly to solve the problems of the day.
